- MTSU Trustee Scholarship:
- A $5,000 scholarship per academic year for students with a 30-33 on the ACT and a 3.5+ GPA

- William J. Connelly Writing Award:
- Awarded to an undergraduate student for demonstrating excellence in student writing.
- 2nd Place, April 2025 for the research publication “Off With Her Head! An Analysis of Female Awakening Through Social Deviance in Lynn Nottage’s Las Meninas.”
- Charles E. Ray Creative Writing Scholarship:
- A one-time $2,000 scholarship for excellence in creative writing.
- 1st Place, April 2025 for three poems: “Two Humours,” “Becoming Her,” and “Rhythms Tapped on Deaf Ears.”
- Neal D. Frazier Writing Award:
- Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student for demonstrating excellence in student writing.
- 1st Place, April 2026 for the research paper “From His Ribcage to Under His Thumb: Eve’s Imprisonment in Paradise Lost.
NOMINATIONS
- Richard C. And Virginia Peck Award:
- The highest award in the Department of English for student excellence. Students are nominated by faculty members.
- Nominated October 2024.

- Bene S. Cox Excellence in Tutoring Award:
- Awarded to a tutor who shows a continued demonstration of effort and excellence as a University Writing Center Peer Tutor.
- Nominated March 2025.
